I Scream You Scream, E Screams for Ice Cream!

D and I took E out for Ice Cream tonight and got her her own little ice cream cone. This was mistake #1. Mistake #2 was not bringing wet wipes to clean her up with during and after the ice cream. She was very excited though to get her own and even tried to bite down into it at first. This made her whole body shiver. She very quickly realized that she needed to lick the ice cream. While we were there another little girl around her same age came, and E decided to walk right up to her, ice cream in hand, and give that little girl a big ole' messy kiss on the cheek, while getting the ice cream in her hand all over the little girls jacket. Woops! But E LOVED it! I'm excited to go on special days this summer or send her with her Mimi or Aunt Meg.

Stay Posted

D and I have decided to re-do our upstairs. Not paint and new floors or anything, just rearrange some stuff. Stay tuned for before and after pictures and let me know what you think.

These Boots Are Made For Walking

E inherited these pink boots from my cousin who is only about a year older than her. I never really let E go out and play in the snow, in fear that she would surly get sick. So we have never had any use for the boots thus far. At the end of March, KC got a freak snow storm leaving us with over 5 inches of snow. Since it was pretty warm out, we bundled up E and put on her pink boots and went to play in the snow. She had so much fun stomping through it. But that is not the point of my story. Ever since that day, we have not been able to say goodbye to the boots. E loves them and wants to wear them all the time now! They will just be sitting on the stairs or in her closet and as soon as she sees them, she is trying to put them on herself. And when she finally decides to ask me for help and I put them on, she walks around the house, stomping in her boots! Oh, and just as a side, that is a frisbee around her neck. She likes to use it as a necklace. Oh my fashionable little girl.

On our way to collect Eggs.

A Day In The Life

So last Saturday I had a little agenda I wanted to stick to. Dave went off to work around 7:30am. E and I woke up around 8. She was on fire at 8 am. I can't even tell you when it all started. Of course getting her dressed is always a challenge for she would rather be doing anything than getting something on. Before I could even get her pajamas off, she found some boots in her closet that are still a little big for her. But she INSISTED on putting them on, trying herself first, then hitting me with them until I put them on her. So trying to get her pajama bottoms off over the boots was the first obstacle. Then, when she was finally dressed, it was my turn to get ready. As I am getting dressed I hear a loud THUD. Go in E's room and find her CD player on the ground and 2 CD's in her hand. Her Dad would have had a fit! So I clean that up and bring her into the bathroom with me while I get my face ready. Bad Idea. I couldn't even finish putting powder on my nose before she was underneath the sink and had unrolled the WHOLE paper towel roll. I start rolling that up and have my back to her when I hear a PLUNK.....turn around and yes, her shoes are in the toilet! I am so frustrated at this point, but I don't want to yell at her so I start doing a little frustrated dance by stomping my feet, shaking my hands, and softly screaming to myself. Well Emery thought this was the best thing ever and started stomping her feet, waving her hands and screaming. I couldn't help but laugh.
