As I like to call it.....TSO

For my birthday, my sister got Dave and I tickets to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra...TSO. It was AMAZING! They run around the stage playing their music, which is also amazing, while the lights and lasers and different colored flames lit up Sprint Center! The only thing that dampened the evening was the man that fell down the stairs during the show (scary!) AND the fact that I have not worn heals in over 10 months, and walking 3 blocks from the car to the sprint center in heals was not a great idea. But all in all, thank you Megan for a fun night out!

Sleep Tight

Now that it is getting cold out again, and the washing machine ate my comforter, we have been looking for a new bedding set. I love these from Pottery Barn. I looked into buying this green one above, but of course it was on sale and they were sold out of the king size. Boo!

See Kai Run

I love love love these shoes from See Kai Run. I have never seen anything quite like them and they are so unique. When Emery gets old enough to wear shoes, I just may have to splurge on some of these shoes.

Oh Mrs. Geller, why you cry?

So, just a little fact that I think EVERYONE should know. How much do you hate it when you are cutting up an onion and of course.....start to tear up! Well, I read in a magazine, that if you chew a minty gum while cutting an onion, it will keep the tears away! So I tried it the other night while chewing gum and I was so surprised to find, that I had no tears! Then the next time I cut up some onions, I did not chew gum and a teared up like a mo fo! Put some gum in my mouth, and it stopped!
So, if you are ever cutting up some onions, make sure you have some minty gum handy!

Awful, Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day!

This picture does not even begin to show how sad I am that I am finally going back to work today. Don't get me wrong, my job is great, but I have been at home for 6 weeks now with baby Emery and I really do not want to leave her. I barely slept last night and now here it is, 5am and I'm up for the morning trying to make sure the babysitter has everything and I have everything to get me through this awful, terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day!

What would you think?

Can you believe that in Houston, TX they dyed a fountain blood red as a promo for Showtime series Dexter. If you have never heard of Dexter, it is in a nutshell about a cop who is a serial killer. I know it sounds twisted and it kind of is but I love Dexter and watch it every Sunday night with my husband. I would have loved to see some fountains here in KC dyed the blood red for Dexter. I wonder if we would if he ever came to KC?

You Can Say It....Aw!

My friend Leah came in town and took some amazing pictures of Emery at our house. These are just some of the pictures she took.

Happy Birthday to Me

So I turned 24 this month and for my birthday my Dad got me a Columbia zip up fleece in ivory! There were lots of different colors to choose from and my husband warned me that white/ivory was not a good choice because I tend to get things on me a lot, but I did not care. So Sunday night my Dad gave me my fleece and I was so excited! I wore it first thing Monday when I was going to run errands and low and behold....I got some pink ink on it. It came out though =)

Like a Virgin

So this is my very first blog. I am actually not much of a blogger but I have recently become addicted to my sisters blog which you can find at mimiandmeg.blogspot.com/ .  I decided to start doing this because I usually have a lot to talk about but no one to listen to me except my 1 month old who lets face it, doesn't give me much feedback. Emery Caitlyn is my daughter. She was born October 8 after a very long labor. If I was blogging then I would tell you all about it, but it is simply to long for a first blog I think. I don't actually spend to much time on the internet looking at random stuff besides my facebook, so I think this will give me something to do besides the boring stuff of my every day life. I named my blog Emery because I just love that name and I love the way the letters look. So I am excited about his blog especially since the holidays are coming up, hopefully I will have lots to talk about.
