A new Place
No not a new house. I finally got a job that I have been fighting for since I started here. I am the new Assistant Pre-K teacher. My co-teacher, Ms. Laura is the most positive person to work with. I can't wait till school age is over so I can start my new role.
4th Of July
We had a very eventful 4th of July. On the 3rd we went to my Uncle Danny's house and swam and enjoyed family. It rained a little bit, but that never stopped a Ryan before. On the 4th we went to my Uncle Tommy's house. They blew up this huge water thing for the kids to play in. Emery got in even though it was a little chilly. Other than that, she just followed her cousin Brynn around everywhere and mimicked her. It poured that night so we didn't get a chance to see any fireworks.

The Right Stuff
E does not eat ANY veggies. At all! My husband and I have actually gotten a little worried that she is not eating enough of the good stuff. I was chatting with some of my girl friends about this and they introduced me to this book. Deceptively Delicious is a cookbook where you puree all the veggies and hide them in the food. So Sunday Dave and I planned out our meals for the week. Then we made a list and went to the store. Monday we had the sloppy joes. I thought they were YUM! I'm serious! And it was made with turkey meat and tons of veggies. I couldn't believe I liked it. Tuesday we went out to eat and Wednesday we made Tortilla Cigars. E LOVED those! She even ate them for lunch on Thursday. I love this new cookbook. If anyone out there is having trouble getting their toddler to eat the right thing, this is the cookbook for you!

Sorry
So I know I am not the worlds best blogger. But I really have been trying the past few months to share stories in my life that are funny. Well I am apologizing again for not blogging more. My internet (or rather my neighbors internet) has been down for a few weeks now. I don't know if he got rid of it or what. But that means no internet for us either. Sorry.

I Scream You Scream, E Screams for Ice Cream!

D and I took E out for Ice Cream tonight and got her her own little ice cream cone. This was mistake #1. Mistake #2 was not bringing wet wipes to clean her up with during and after the ice cream. She was very excited though to get her own and even tried to bite down into it at first. This made her whole body shiver. She very quickly realized that she needed to lick the ice cream. While we were there another little girl around her same age came, and E decided to walk right up to her, ice cream in hand, and give that little girl a big ole' messy kiss on the cheek, while getting the ice cream in her hand all over the little girls jacket. Woops! But E LOVED it! I'm excited to go on special days this summer or send her with her Mimi or Aunt Meg.

Stay Posted
D and I have decided to re-do our upstairs. Not paint and new floors or anything, just rearrange some stuff. Stay tuned for before and after pictures and let me know what you think.
These Boots Are Made For Walking
E inherited these pink boots from my cousin who is only about a year older than her. I never really let E go out and play in the snow, in fear that she would surly get sick. So we have never had any use for the boots thus far. At the end of March, KC got a freak snow storm leaving us with over 5 inches of snow. Since it was pretty warm out, we bundled up E and put on her pink boots and went to play in the snow. She had so much fun stomping through it. But that is not the point of my story. Ever since that day, we have not been able to say goodbye to the boots. E loves them and wants to wear them all the time now! They will just be sitting on the stairs or in her closet and as soon as she sees them, she is trying to put them on herself. And when she finally decides to ask me for help and I put them on, she walks around the house, stomping in her boots! Oh, and just as a side, that is a frisbee around her neck. She likes to use it as a necklace. Oh my fashionable little girl.

A Day In The Life
So last Saturday I had a little agenda I wanted to stick to. Dave went off to work around 7:30am. E and I woke up around 8. She was on fire at 8 am. I can't even tell you when it all started. Of course getting her dressed is always a challenge for she would rather be doing anything than getting something on. Before I could even get her pajamas off, she found some boots in her closet that are still a little big for her. But she INSISTED on putting them on, trying herself first, then hitting me with them until I put them on her. So trying to get her pajama bottoms off over the boots was the first obstacle. Then, when she was finally dressed, it was my turn to get ready. As I am getting dressed I hear a loud THUD. Go in E's room and find her CD player on the ground and 2 CD's in her hand. Her Dad would have had a fit! So I clean that up and bring her into the bathroom with me while I get my face ready. Bad Idea. I couldn't even finish putting powder on my nose before she was underneath the sink and had unrolled the WHOLE paper towel roll. I start rolling that up and have my back to her when I hear a PLUNK.....turn around and yes, her shoes are in the toilet! I am so frustrated at this point, but I don't want to yell at her so I start doing a little frustrated dance by stomping my feet, shaking my hands, and softly screaming to myself. Well Emery thought this was the best thing ever and started stomping her feet, waving her hands and screaming. I couldn't help but laugh.

This is the new Nexus One phone from Google that is getting BETTER ratings than the iPhone! Oh AND, T-Mobile is selling it! Yay! It will be my next phone! Not any time soon of course, but when I can afford it (is starts at $179 with 2-year contract) I will be getting one.Thought for thought
I don't remember much from when I was a girl scout years ago. Actually I don't think I even made it past brownies. But from what I understand girl scouts is, it's a little group of girls doing good things and learning things to be outstanding citizens. Right? So then let me as you this girl scouts, if you are "training" to be such good citizens, then why do you crush all fat peoples new years resolution of getting healthy and getting in shape by handing out your girl scout cookies 6 days after new years!!!!! I have been so good! And now all I want is to eat a whole sleeve of thin mints! And just in case you didn't know, thin mints are HORRIBLE for you!! Understand this is all in good fun, I completely support girl scouts everywhere, let's just maybe find a less frustrating time to hand out your delicious cookies.

Rooms to keep me cozy
It has been so cold these past couple of days! I have not even wanted to leave my bedroom. And if I had these bedrooms that were featured on The Nest, I def. would never leave!
